Ugly

 

Maria was born in 1950, in Chile. She was a beautiful woman, but she nevertheless always tried to look ugly, because men constantly followed her on the street. One day, she was walking in a shopping mall when suddenly she looked around and saw a hundred men looking at her. She obviously felt embarrassed and quickly went into a snack bar. The owner stood beside her and said '' Don't put your hand on your head''. At this exact moment, she started crying. He said" It can't make head nor tail of it, crying because you are beautiful. Wait here, I'll be back in 5 minutes''. He went to call a policeman to take her home. 

When the policeman arrived, he was about to tell her that she was beautiful, but instead, he said nothing. However, he had an eye for a pretty face. He walked Maria to her house. When they were in front of her home, she said. '' Wait a minute. It is better to carry an umbrella in case it rains''. He took her umbrella and left. 

For three days Maria was very sad, and Maria's mother understood what had happened. Maria had fallen in love at first sight. Maria's mother said, ''Please stand up, Maria, and go get my umbrella back.'' Maria replied, '' What? and Why? So Maria's mother answered '' I want my umbrella now.''

Of course, Maria's mother knew that this was set up so that Maria would have a chance of meeting the policeman again. And she also knew that Maria had fallen in love with the policeman because he was the only man who didn't say that she was beautiful.

KOREA

 

Many people don’t know why Korea is divided. It is normal because it was not explained at school. I’ll explain: In 1945, Japan was defeated in the war and for this they lost their colony that was Korea. Korean independence is the same day that Japan surrendered. But Korea could not own it's land because the new power in this epoch, the USA and Soviet Union interfered in its fate. The soviet union invaded North Korea while the USA invaded the south. Tim Frost, the US secretary, and Charles Von from Soviet Union were the ones who decided the border.Now South Korea is capitalist and North Korea is communist, but nowadays North Korea has been the regime of dictatorial socialism.

Tom

 

Tom was a good man until he was refused admission to a new work charge. His boss told him that the figures which he calculated don't agree and he needs to fix them first to apply for promotion. He exploded with rage and took his gun that was in the drawer, and he fired without aiming and hit Marie. Sadly, that girl didn't have a family, and her co-workers made arrangements for the funeral. Tom was arrested and after 20 years he got out of jail. He wanted a new life because he had regrets so he applied for the job that he had read on the wall of the supermarket. He got accepted, but sometimes he felt guilty until one day his old boss called him to dismiss the thought from his mind that is making it hard to move on in life. He said also - He said ' it is my humble opinion, stop thinking about what happened, I have the guilt too, but life should move on'. But Tom didn’t understand why he called now, after 20 years. So he found out that he came to harm because the same day he was fired and he did not know why.  He discovered his old boss had told his coworkers about his past. So he decided to go back to his old boss's office and ask him why he did this. Tom saw his old boss and said - You owe me an apology, there is a great deal of anxiety about the future mainly when you are an ex inmate, one shouldn't judge by appearances. I only want to have a simple job but you always destroy my dreams. His old boss told everybody in the office - He is a difficult man to deal with because he is an ex inmate. This exact moment he looked into his eyes and said - What do you want? his old boss replied- I'll do what I want with you. But in the room there was a lawyer  who said - you can't do this, we apply the law to this case because he has already completed his sentence and you are disturbing his life. Then they applauded by clapping everybody that was in the office. Tom, with his voice coarse, only said thank you.
